Overview

The Cash Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of cash posting and reconciliation within the revenue cycle department, ensuring accurate and timely application of payments and managing refund processing.

In Short

Supervise daily cash posting operations including electronic remittance advice and patient payments.
Reconcile daily deposits to ensure accurate payment application.
Monitor unapplied and misapplied payments and lead resolution efforts.
Manage the Financial Reconciliation tool in Medistreams.
Collaborate with accounting for cash reports and bank reconciliations.
Maintain policies related to cash posting and reconciliation.
Identify workflow inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Develop and track KPIs for cash posting staff.
Supervise and train cash posting staff.
Assist with audits and manage payer portal accesses.

Requirements

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
3–5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle or cash management.
Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of insurance payment processing.
Familiarity with EHR and practice management systems.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player.
