As an IT End User Compute Engineer, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and modernizing end-user computing environments within our organization. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of a diverse range of endpoints, including desktops, laptops, thin clients, and mobile devices. You will work closely with IT teams and stakeholders to implement and support "Modern Management" technologies that enhance user productivity and satisfaction.  

 

About you: 

  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in IT, with a specialized focus on end-user computing and technical support. 
  • Technical Breadth: Comfortable managing and troubleshooting Windows 11, Linux, macOS, Android, and iOS endpoints. 
  • Endpoint Management: Expert-level experience with "Modern Management" of EUC endpoints, specifically utilizing Microsoft Intune and Autopilot for seamless device configuration. 
  • Virtualization: Deep knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) technologies, including Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Omnissa Horizon. 
  • Thin Client Management: Experience managing and optimizing IGEL OS or HP ThinPro Linux Thin Clients. 
  • Automation & Scripting: Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash to automate repetitive tasks and deployments. 
  • Application Delivery: Proven experience in packaging and deploying software applications across a distributed fleet. 
  • Security Mindset: Familiarity with desktop security best practices and endpoint protection solutions. 
  • Soft Skills: Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment, possesses an interest in working with AI tools, and is comfortable presenting changes or technical achievements to stakeholders. 
  • Growth: A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on emerging technologies. 

 

General Duties & Responsibilities  

 

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain a multi-platform fleet of systems for end-users. 
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot complex software applications and operating systems. 
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and reliability across physical and virtual environments. 
  • Provide high-level technical support and assistance to end-users via helpdesk tickets, email, or phone. 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and support endpoint management and automation solutions. 
  • Demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and the ability to prioritize a complex workload. 
  • Conduct user training and create technical documentation to support evolving end-user computing environments. 
  • Participate in working groups, staff meetings, and committees to represent EUC interests. 
  • Recommend innovative approaches for continual improvements to policies, procedures, and documentation. 
  • Consistently promote the company’s core values. 

 

This is a work from home position. To support operational needs and business hours, candidates should reside in one of these states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas or Virginia.

  • Manage and support a diverse array of end-user devices and virtual desktop environments. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to hardware, software, and connectivity. 
  • Create and manage modern images and configurations efficiently with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot. 
  • Engage with leadership to effectively communicate technical achievements and maintain up-to-date license information. 
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of OS security policies and procedures to protect company data.

  • Ability to work on repetitive automation tasks with a high degree of accuracy. 
  • Ability to work with confidential information. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present technical data to non-technical audiences. 
  • Detail and deadline-oriented work ethic with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills for troubleshooting complex EUC issues. 

 

Education/Experience:  

  • High school diploma 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of data processing, preferably in a healthcare, compliance, or legal environment  

 

License/Certification (Preferred): 

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102)  
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty (AZ-140)  
  • Omnissa Horizon (VCP) or equivalent VDI certification  
  • IGEL Certified Professional (ICP) or IGEL Certified Engineer (ICE)  
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP)  

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:  

  • This job offers a hybrid work model, allowing for remote work without the need to be in the office every day. 
  • Some stress may occur. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, and to speak and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
