In Short

• Remote AHIMA credentialed ED facility medical coding specialists needed.
• Requires at least 3 years’ experience in Emergency Department coding.
• Responsible for coding all diseases on ED according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4.
• Must keep current on all coding policies and procedures.
• Work with 3M Encoder and EPIC EMR system.
• Maintain production of 12 CPH.
• Communicate any unclear information with supervisors.
• Working hours must be between 6a-6:30p Pacific time Mon-Fri only.
• This is a W-2 employee position, temp full time for 4-5 months.
• Position could extend based on need.

Requirements

• AHIMA: RHIT, RHIA, CCS credentials required.
• Minimum of 3 years Emergency Department coding experience.
• Principals of ICD-10 Outpatient Coding.
• Maintain accuracy of diagnosis code assignment.
• Maintain productivity levels per client policies.
• Ensure integrity of reports and data entry.
• Responsible communication according to policies.
