Overview

The IT Policy Business Analyst will contribute to federal IT modernization initiatives, leveraging knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) to translate statutory and legislative mandates into technical and business requirements.

In Short

  • Provide consultation on policy interpretations for data-driven decisions.
  • Conduct policy research and impact evaluation on IT modernization.
  • Gather and document business requirements and develop user stories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement strategy and systems requirements.
  • Analyze policy impact on cloud migration and compliance.
  • Develop white papers and system documentation.
  • Contribute to change management and training initiatives.
  • Interpret directives and summarize policies for technical requirements.
  • Assess risks and communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate working groups and analyze Federal IT policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 8+ years of IT business systems experience.
  • 2+ years of knowledge in FAR and CFR policy analysis.
  • Experience in agile environments (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Strong knowledge of FAR and CFR Section 200.
  • Prior experience as Federal Contracts Analyst/Administrator desired.
  • Experience with OMB and NIST standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze Federal IT executive orders and policies.
  • Experience in stakeholder facilitation and working group design.
  • Benchmark analysis experience on Federal IT policies.
