Federal Front-End Developer Lead - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Front-End Developer Lead with accessibility experience to enhance digital services for a federal customer, focusing on creating accessible, user-friendly interfaces that comply with federal accessibility standards and best practices.

In Short

• Lead front-end development for federal projects.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
• Develop responsive front-end components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Conduct accessibility testing and optimization.
• Collaborate with UI designers and back-end developers.
• Work within agile methodologies.
• Create wireframes and advocate for user needs.
• Perform user experience research.
• Participate in occasional in-person meetings in Washington, D.C.
• Contract position expected to begin in June 2025.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of front-end/UI-UX development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Angular.
• Experience with accessibility compliance and testing standards.
• 2+ years of experience in AWS environments.
• Knowledge of ARIA and screen readers.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps principles is a plus.
