QA Engineer - Remote

Overview

The QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring software quality throughout the software development lifecycle by identifying critical failures through testing before production release.

In Short

• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents for timely feedback.
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet customer needs.
• Execute the testing plan for each software product following established guidelines and best practices.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the software development lifecycle implementations.
• Experience in designing test cases under ISTQB testing techniques.
• Experience in performance testing with JMeter.
• Experience in Agile frameworks, preferably SCRUM.
• Familiarity with DevOps processes and tools.
• Knowledge of SQL and MySQL databases.
• Experience in API testing using Postman or Soap UI.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering or related fields (graduated).
• Basic knowledge in Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with frameworks like Serenity, Karate, Katalon, Cypress.
• Experience in automation testing with Selenium, Appium, and TestNG.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Typescript, Python.
• Experience in managing repositories and versions with Git, GitLab, and GitHub.
• Experience in executing API tests using tools like Newman.
• Work modality: 100% remote.
• Eligible cities: Barranquilla, Bogotá, and Medellín.
