DevOps Engineer - MongoDB and Kubernetes (m/f/d) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in MongoDB and Kubernetes to manage and automate database applications and processes in a remote setting.

In Short

• Technical operation and automation of database applications and processes in the data center.
• Building and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab and Ansible.
• Monitoring and optimizing databases and infrastructure.
• Operating and managing MongoDB in container-based Kubernetes environments.
• Designing and documenting processes, as well as configuring load balancing and proxy solutions.

Requirements

• MongoDB Expertise: In-depth knowledge of architecture, setup, and management of MongoDB, including replica sets, sharding, and backup/restore in Kubernetes.
• Kubernetes Knowledge: Experience with Helm, StatefulSets, Persistent Volumes/Claims, networking, and security configurations.
• CI/CD & Automation: Proficient in GitLab, CI/CD, Ansible Playbooks, and their integration into deployment processes.
• Containerization: Creating and optimizing Docker images and experience with Kubernetes operators for database management.
• Monitoring & Security: Knowledge of tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, RBAC, and managing secrets (e.g., Kubernetes Secrets, Hashicorp Vault).
