Diagnostic Imaging Physicist - Remote

Overview

Landauer Medical Physics is seeking an individual with experience in diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, or health physics to join our team as a Diagnostic Imaging Physicist with a home office based in Florida. This person will provide medical physics services to various hospitals in the region. The individual should be motivated, quick to learn and a great team player. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication to interact with health care professionals daily.

In Short

• Perform medical physics surveys of various imaging systems.
• Support ACR Accreditation surveys.
• Conduct nuclear medicine surveys including gamma cameras and PET.
• Meet continuing education requirements for various imaging modalities.
• Complete reports on time and accurately.
• Support Radioactive Materials License and Radiation Safety.
• Travel required to various locations in Florida and potentially Texas.
• Must have a Master’s degree or higher in relevant fields.
• Board certification preferred in Florida and Texas.
• Excellent communication skills required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in health physics, physics, medical physics, or biomedical engineering.
• Board certified qualified medical physicists in Florida and Texas preferred.
• Experience in Imaging Physics practice areas.
• Ability to learn new technical procedures quickly.
• Use technical expertise and communication skills effectively.
• Extensive experience with computer systems and cloud-based tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be eligible for registration in Florida.
• Preferred eligibility for registration in Texas.
• Eligible to serve as RSO for a medical radioactive materials license desired.
