Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Diagnostic Medical Physicist - Remote

Overview

Landauer Medical Physics has an immediate opening for a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Diagnostic Medical Physicist based in Texas. This person will provide medical physics services including Radiation safety related services to various hospitals in the region. The individual should be motivated, quick to learn, and an excellent teammate. The position requires excellent verbal and written communication to interact with health care professionals daily.

In Short

• Provide medical physics EPEs - quality assurance testing, and consulting services.
• Conduct tests involving MRI, CT, X-ray, mammography, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound.
• Perform nuclear medicine consulting and licensing activities.
• Provide ACR MRI, CT, NM/PET, US, and mammography accreditation services.
• Travel by car or plane to various client locations within TX and OK.
• Overnight stays will be necessary, averaging less than 30% of the time.
• Master’s degree or equivalent in medical physics or related fields required.
• ABR Diagnostic Medical Physics or ABMP board certification is necessary.
• Solid foundation in radiation physics and related areas is essential.
• Must be eligible for registration in the state of Texas.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent in medical physics, health physics, physics, biomedical engineering, or equivalent.
• ABR Diagnostic Medical Physics or ABMP board certification.
• Experience in Imaging Physics practice areas.
• Eligibility to serve as RSO for a medical radioactive materials license.
