Principal Product Manager - Remote

Overview

FORT is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our most foundational product initiatives, ensuring safe and secure collaboration between people and machines while addressing the challenges of autonomous systems.

In Short

• Own the development of FORT’s product roadmap and PRDs.
• Work closely with engineering and systems teams for execution-ready plans.
• Lead customer discovery across industrial automation and safety markets.
• Ensure alignment on roadmap priorities with engineering, sales, and leadership.
• Conduct build vs. buy vs. partner analysis for components and features.
• Integrate industry standards into product development.
• Contribute to go-to-market materials and external communications.
• Represent FORT at conferences and industry events.
• Help define the future product organization.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years in product management or technical program roles in relevant industries.
• Experience with PRDs, use cases, or systems requirements.
• Understanding of functional safety and collaboration with safety engineers.
• Ability to engage in technical problem-solving.
• Proven ability to synthesize customer input into a clear strategy.
• Self-directed and comfortable in ambiguous environments.
• Experience in both large and smaller robotics/AI companies.
