Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Foresite Labs is a translational R&D team that derives insights from precision measurement and population-scale biology and genetics to address unmet clinical needs. We use human genetics to systematically dissect and understand human disease biology and develop and critically evaluate therapeutic hypotheses. • Build from scratch. Design, implement, and own production-grade software systems, services, data pipelines, internal tools.
• Architect pragmatic infrastructure using AWS and IaC.
• Ship features end-to-end across the stack.
• Automate everything with Terraform and IaC.
• Uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and best practices.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers and scientists.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Fluency in modern programming languages (Python, Go, Java, TypeScript).
• Working knowledge of AWS core services and patterns.
• Experience with Unix environments, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing data architectures and working with AI is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
