Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Security Engineer will be responsible for strengthening Fluent Trade Technologies' security posture by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

In Short

• Perform security assessments, vulnerability management, and penetration testing of infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• Implement and maintain security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, DLP, etc.).
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Support incident response and forensic investigations.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to ensure secure configurations and practices.
• Monitor security logs and respond to threats in real-time.
• Research emerging threats and propose mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS for security analysis and auditing.
• Experience in searching and pinpointing security issues using Linux-based tools and logs.
• Understanding of SELinux policies and their impact on system security.
• Familiarity with tools commonly used by white-hat hackers (Nmap, Metasploit, Wireshark, OSSEC, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in network security and application security.
• Ability to conduct and interpret security assessments.
• Programming/Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, CEH are preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to document findings clearly and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
