Compliance Officer - Remote

Overview

The Compliance Officer will manage the ongoing compliance with all internal and external policies, laws, and regulatory constructs covering international data, privacy, and related security law and region-specific information security protocols related to the company’s business service delivery and corporate governance practices. Will handle Investigations (fraud, discrimination, bribery, and misconduct) including responses to the breaches as appropriate.

In Short

• Assist the RCO in specific projects relating to the implementation of record retention, compliance tracking/monitoring, and Inadvertent disclosures.
• Research on laws for existing and new products and changes in the regulatory framework for SAPAC.
• Prepare and update training materials for the SAPAC region.
• Compliance-related audit support and response to client questionnaires.
• Should be comfortable managing EMEA / APAC region compliances alongside GDPR related aspects.
• Should be flexible to work as per the EMEA / APAC time zone as per the requirements of the role.

Requirements

• Graduation with a Bachelor in Laws (B.A.L.L.B.); Knowledge / Expertise in GDPR will be an added advantage.
• 2-4 years in a SME/knowledge-based role.
• Excellent Oral and Written Communication.
• Exposure to the compliance and regulatory knowledge and practices of EMEA / APAC region.
• Keen aptitude for the law and ability to undertake legal review.
• Attention to detail, Data Privacy maintenance.
• Analytical and Logical Reasoning.
• Adept with technology research tools.
