Philanthropy Officer - Remote

Overview

The Philanthropy Officer will be responsible for cultivating relationships with current donors and attracting new ones, promoting the mission of FIRE.

In Short

• Maintain relationships with current supporters for upgraded gift support.
• Identify and research potential new supporters.
• Produce regular reports and maintain donor records.
• Create written proposals and email solicitations.
• Plan and execute donor events in various cities.
• Travel approximately 30-40% of the time.
• Work closely with the development team and other department heads.

• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• Four-year undergraduate degree.
• 3-5 years of experience in development or relevant fields.
• Goal-oriented mindset with direct solicitation experience.
• High-level interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to personalize and articulate FIRE's mission.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Knowledge of donor prospecting methods preferred.
• Familiarity with donor database platforms like Salesforce preferred.
