Overview

Finch was started by 2 friends (Nino & Steph 🙇🏾‍♂️🙇🏻‍♀️) who struggled with anxiety and depression and found self-care challenging to stick with. We decided to build Finch hoping to make self-care fun and accessible after seeing many others share similar struggles. Finch was launched in 2021, and our team is grateful to have helped over 20 million people on their mental health journeys.

In Short

• Design playful & delightful flows, interactions, and high-fidelity visuals for mental health exercises, gaming mechanics, and growth loops.
• Create new design patterns that are intuitive and practical.
• Evolve our design system intentionally as we scale.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, character design and character animation.
• Revolutionize the way people interact with their mobile devices to be mentally beneficial.
• Redefine social interactions that can help people support others.
• Reimagine wellness exercises like CBT and mental health insights.
• Create playful product experiences for daily self-care.
• Create a generalizable platform of mental health tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years industry experience designing consumer mobile apps at scale.
• Ability to untangle vague conceptual problems.
• A strong eye for visual polish and user delight.
• Pragmatic about the implications and practicality of designs.
• Ability to internalize all inputs and feedback.
• Hands-on experience with coding, illustration and/or game design is a plus.
