Senior DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

We seek a passionate, collaborative, product-minded dev ops and platform engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the PlugShare platform, as well as development engineering.

In Short

• Act as subject matter expert and architect for our cloud platform.
• Design, develop, and deploy high availability software environments and solutions.
• Follow best practices and guide fellow engineers.
• Serve as an escalation point of contact for critical issues.
• Focus on continuous improvement of platform reliability.
• Evaluate, design, deploy, monitor, and manage AWS services.
• Utilize monitoring tools to ensure system performance.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain containerized solutions using Docker.
• Build, test, and deploy Python applications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and non-engineering team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of related professional experience as a dev ops engineer.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience coding in Python or similar languages.
• Proficiency with public cloud services (AWS).
• Expertise with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Strong collaborative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of API design principles.
