Overview

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for assisting with the purchasing and tracking of event services for our national series events. In addition, this position supports the Purchasing Manager with vendor relationship management. This position will be based from a remote home office.

In Short

  • Part-time temporary position.
  • Reports directly to the Purchasing Manager.
  • 1-2 years of purchasing experience preferred.
  • Work with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Create Purchase orders and follow up on final payments.
  • Support organization and clients through accurate communication.
  • Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Strong negotiation skills with vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Attention to detail is crucial.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of purchasing experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with event purchasing for goods and services.
  • Understanding of risk and insurance for vendors.
  • Knowledge of inventory control policies.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with teams.
  • Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Attention to detail.
