Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

We currently have a vacancy for a Data Engineer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert in Valletta, Malta. The work will be carried out either remotely or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

In Short

• Design, develop, document, and maintain ETL/ELT processes.
• Data integration, cleaning, transformation, and automation processes.
• Develop and support data warehouse/lakehouse architectures.
• Ensure data quality, lineage, auditing, and metadata management.
• Create business intelligence models and interactive dashboards.
• Utilize tools such as Databricks, Jupyter Notebooks, and Power BI.
• Contribute to data governance policies and standards.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes.
• Knowledge of data architecture and modelling.
• Familiarity with data warehouse and lakehouse concepts.
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
