Environmental Cost Estimator - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced mid-level Environmental Cost Estimator to support environmental remediation projects for various agencies across the United States. This position involves developing engineering studies, plans, and specifications for the remediation of environmental contamination.

In Short

• Support environmental projects for USEPA, USACE, and DoD clients.
• Develop engineering studies and specifications for remediation.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and analyze project requirements.
• Attend pre-bid site walks and determine scopes of work.
• Review bid materials for competitiveness and completeness.
• Analyze project documents to identify necessary resources.
• Maintain a cost database for all projects bid.
• Interface with program and project managers and contractors.
• Report observations and compliance with contract documents.
• Solicit subcontractor and vendor bids.

Requirements

• 5 years of environmental construction and remediation experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field.
• Experience preparing bids for USACE and/or EPA contracts.
• Knowledge of cost estimating software and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret bid documents and prioritize tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of federal and state occupational regulations.
• Ability to conduct completion inspections and maintain records.
• Intermediate proficiency with scheduling software.
