Sr. Product Designer - Calcite Brand Design System - Remote

Overview

Join Esri’s marketing design team and contribute to crafting engaging, consistent user experiences using Calcite Brand, Esri’s design system for esri.com. As part of our team, you will help develop and document foundational design and global components, collaborating with designers and developers to ensure consistency, functionality, and flexibility across the site. With a focus on individual responsibility and rapid development, you’ll play a key role in promoting Esri’s design-first mindset and expanding the reach of our location-based technology. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of user-centered design, systemic thinking, and interaction design principles.

In Short

• Contribute to architecting our Figma environment.
• Define detailed design specifications for components in Figma.
• Define component documentation for usage guidelines.
• Facilitate design reviews with internal and external teams.
• Partner with researchers and the UX team for usability validation.
• Provide design direction on component usage.
• Engage with front-end developers for consistency.
• Participate in design systems conferences.
• Help mentor junior designers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing for web and mobile.
• Portfolio showcasing design systems management.
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive results.
• Passion for continuous improvement in design practices.
• Ability to facilitate workshops and present effectively.
• Experience using Figma and adhering to pattern libraries.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration.
• Bachelor’s in human-computer interaction or related field.
