Operations Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Operations Specialist will provide technical expertise and manage various aspects of remote productions, ensuring smooth operations and effective communication across departments.

In Short

• Provide technical expertise for productions and operations.
• Coordinate remote surveys and studio installations.
• Produce live ENG shoots on site.
• Act as Technical Manager or Operations Producer for remote productions.
• Design CAD / Visio drawings for technical signal flow.
• Track location expenses and budgets.
• Maintain knowledge of technical innovations in broadcasting.
• Troubleshoot technology issues in the field.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of broadcast newsgathering experience.
• Ability to communicate clearly with multiple departments.
• Proficiency in MAC and Windows applications.
• Strong skills in SmartSheets and Excel.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Ability to manage people effectively.
• Positive attitude and ability to balance workload.
• Willingness to take calls after hours.
