Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Data Engineer will work within the Disney Decision Science & Integration team, responsible for data pipeline development, database engineering services, and supporting various business initiatives.

In Short

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Perform data requirements gathering and source-to-target mapping.
• Monitor data quality and produce datasets for science models.
• Utilize technologies like PostgreSQL, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
• Engage in project SDLC activities.
• Communicate progress to project leadership.
• Work in a multi-deployment environment.
• Experience with job scheduling software like Apache Airflow.
• Manage code deployment using GitLab/GitHub.
• Understand business domain and processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical experience.
• Proficiency in SQL coding.
• Experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Prior experience with large datasets and big data technologies.
• Familiarity with Disney Theme Parks data is preferred.
• Master’s degree is a plus.
