Overview

Equivity is seeking an experienced virtual paralegal to assist attorneys with Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters. Candidates should be detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable managing cases in a fully remote environment. This is an opportunity to play a key role in helping clients navigate complex financial challenges while working as part of a collaborative national team.

In Short

• Draft and file bankruptcy petitions and related documents.
• Assist with hearings and 341 Meetings of Creditors.
• Communicate with clients, trustees, courts, and creditors.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files using legal software.
• Respond to client communications promptly during business hours.
• Help attorneys stay ahead of deadlines.
• Work independently in a remote environment.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Maintain a professional home office setup.
• Experience in additional areas of law is a plus.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3 years of recent bankruptcy paralegal experience.
• Experience with Ch 11, Subchapter 5 is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and legal software.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases.
• Quiet home office setup for calls.
• Experience in additional areas of law is a plus.
