IT Security Engineer - Remote

Overview

As an IT Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in securing envelio’s infrastructure and systems, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, and fostering trust with our customers and partners.

In Short

• Serve as the deputy to the Information Security Manager.
• Develop and execute envelio’s security strategy, policies, and objectives.
• Identify and assess security risks, implementing proactive measures.
• Lead or support efforts to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents.
• Configure and maintain secure systems, networks, and applications.
• Observe and evaluate technological trends in the IT security sector.

Requirements

• Proven experience in IT security engineering, ideally in a SaaS or energy-related industry.
• Experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners).
• Familiarity with network security, firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
• Hands-on experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
