Overview

Energy Exemplar is seeking an Energy Market Analyst to support the development and maintenance of global power and natural gas market models and datasets using PLEXOS and Aurora tools.

• Work with a team of energy data analysts.
• Develop and maintain global power and natural gas market models.
• Conduct market research and analysis.
• Run and interpret results from PLEXOS and Aurora models.
• Benchmark production cost models.
• Troubleshoot market models for accuracy.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in energy modeling and power market analysis.
• Knowledge of PLEXOS, Aurora, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of energy economics and power market fundamentals.
• Experience in creating and analyzing energy datasets.
• Familiarity with Agile/Sprint best practices.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Electric Engineering, or Mathematics (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• Ability to work in North American, European, or Asian power markets.
• Expert skills using Excel and Power BI.
• Ability to work collaboratively and lead projects.
