Energy Market Analyst - Remote

Overview

The Energy Market Analyst will engage directly with clients to increase sales and deliver technical work, driving growth in the APAC region.

In Short

• Conduct independent modeling and optimization using PLEXOS.
• Analyze energy market trends and provide insights to clients.
• Assist in pre-sales demonstrations and proof-of-concept development.
• Deliver training sessions to clients on modeling techniques and software usage.
• Support project managers in executing technical projects and delivering consultancy solutions.
• Develop and troubleshoot datasets with increasing complexity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, or Energy Economics.
• 2-4 years of experience in energy modeling, data analysis, or market forecasting.
• Proficiency in modeling tools such as PLEXOS or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex subject matter in an easy to understand manner.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Strong interpersonal presence and skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Thorough knowledge of standard Microsoft programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
