Overview

Acumentrics is seeking a hands-on, experienced Embedded Systems Engineer with expertise in Linux programming, web development, and networking protocols. The Embedded Systems Engineer will primarily be responsible for developing and implementing new platforms for SNMP networking for complex systems, specifically focused on rugged uninterruptible power supply (RUPS) solutions.

In Short

  • Develop and implement SNMP networking platforms for rugged uninterruptible power supply (RUPS) solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and maintain tools and scripts to support production processes.
  • Provide maintenance and support for legacy firmware systems.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Offer training and mentorship to junior engineers and interns.
  • Conduct research on new technologies and methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools.
  • Manage projects from conception to deployment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience in Linux programming for products.
  • Experience with Linux Widgets.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of C++.
  • Familiarity with SNMPv3.
  • Knowledge of embedded hardware platforms, including microcontrollers.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols.
  • Proficient in implementing communication protocols in firmware applications.
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit testing.
