Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Medical Coder to join our primary care clinic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in coding for primary care services and a thorough understanding of medical coding guidelines and regulations. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate and compliant coding of diagnoses, procedures, and medical services to optimize revenue and support high-quality patient care.

• Accurately code diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Conduct thorough reviews of patient charts and medical records.
• Perform regular coding audits to ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff for documentation support.

• Mentor and train junior coders and clinical staff.

Requirements

• Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS).
• Minimum of 5 years of medical coding experience.
• In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
