Overview

The Government Relations Associate will take the lead in client services and support our client in lobbying with government offices based in Texas. This role will monitor government meetings of our client, prepare agendas, record Minutes of the Meetings when necessary, and capture relevant discussion points.

In Short

  • Meet multiple clients, team deadlines, and deliverables assigned.
  • Assist in establishing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Understand key client information including business strategy and competitive landscape.
  • Provide administrative support including preparation of client status and activity reports.
  • Attend client meetings and calls.
  • Monitor and provide hearing summaries, event scheduling, and logistics.
  • Stay abreast of assigned client industry trends and general Austin, Texas Metro business.

Requirements

  • Experience as a government relations officer or related field is required.
  • Experience as a paralegal for a US-based client is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in client and stakeholder management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of US Federal laws is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Highly organized and with a keen attention to detail.
