Spring 2026 Legal Externship – Community Partnerships Program - Remote

Overview

Earthjustice’s Community Partnerships Program is accepting applications for one part-time legal extern for spring 2026. We are seeking law students who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment, and who are eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement through this externship.

In Short

• Part-time legal externship for law students.
• Remote work available within the U.S. or hybrid schedule from Earthjustice offices.
• Engagement in case development and litigation under attorney supervision.
• Perform legal and factual research.
• Assist in preparing briefs, motions, and comment letters.
• Participate in court proceedings and meetings.
• Commitment of 12-20 hours per week.
• Unpaid position requiring academic credit.

Requirements

• Enrolled in law school as a 2L or 3L during spring 2026.
• Excellent writing, research, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Creative thinking and ability to work collegially.
• Interest in environmental protection or justice.
