Overview

Earthjustice’s Northeast Regional Office is accepting applications for two part-time legal externs for Spring 2026. We are seeking law students who share a passion for justice and a healthy environment, and who are eligible to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement through this externship.

In Short

• Part-time legal externship for law students.
• Work remotely or on a hybrid schedule.
• Support attorneys in case development and litigation.
• Perform legal and factual research.
• Prepare briefs and motions.
• Participate in oral arguments and court proceedings.
• Commitment of 12-20 hours per week.
• Unpaid position requiring academic credit.

Requirements

• Enrolled in law school as a 2L or 3L during spring 2026.
• Excellent writing and research skills.
• Analytical and organizational skills.
• Interest in environmental protection is a plus.
• Ability to work collegially with others.
