Application Security Team Leader - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a hands-on and experienced Application Security Team Leader to drive our product and infrastructure security strategy and execution.

In Short

• Lead the Application Security team and set strategic goals.
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage vulnerabilities and ensure timely updates of third-party packages.
• Communicate risks and progress to stakeholders with clear reports.
• Ensure security checks are automated in the development lifecycle.
• Maintain an inventory of open source and third-party components.
• Oversee efforts to replace outdated software components.
• Promote secure software component usage across teams.
• Monitor for CVEs affecting the OS and standard packages.
• Guide the team in continuous monitoring and hardening efforts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Application Security or DevSecOps.
• Experience in a leadership role for at least 1-2 years.
• Proven experience with security tool integration in CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of software supply chain risks.
• Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins and GitHub.
• Scripting experience in Python and Bash.
• Deep understanding of common vulnerability types.
• Strong communication skills to translate risks to stakeholders.
