Paralegal with Civil Litigation - Remote

Overview

The Paralegal with Civil Litigation will be responsible for preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, drafting legal documents, and assisting attorneys in civil litigation cases in the U.S.

In Short

• Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions (Chapters 7, 11, and 13).
• Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and proofs of claim.
• Review and interpret financial documents such as tax returns and bank statements.
• Communicate with Spanish-speaking debtors to clarify financial and legal details.
• Maintain organized client files and ensure accurate data entry into bankruptcy software.
• Upload documentation to trustee portals and monitor deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and assist attorneys in preparing for hearings.
• File documents electronically via CM/ECF systems and manage docketing.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure compliance and case accuracy.

Requirements

• Civil Litigation experience in the U.S. (priority requirement).
• English proficiency at C1 level (mandatory).
• 1–2 years of experience preparing legal documents and managing case files.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy processes is a plus.
• Experience using CRM or bankruptcy management systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
