This role is for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to work with a YC-backed startup focused on automating patent infringement detection using AI.

In Short

Design and deploy ML systems for patent claim language mapping.
Build and iterate on NLP pipelines for interpreting claims and identifying infringing elements.
Own the full ML lifecycle including experimentation and monitoring.
Collaborate with the founding team on technical direction.

Requirements

Proven track record of shipping production ML systems.
Strong hands-on experience with LLMs and agentic workflows.
Solid Python skills and experience with large-scale search infrastructure.
Good judgment on model complexity based on use cases.
Experience with NLP on dense structured text is a plus.
