Junior Data Engineer (SQL & GCP Focus) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a motivated junior-level data professional (Engineer, Analyst, or Scientist) to join our nearshore Devoteam team on a project with strong focus on SQL and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

In Short

• Handle and transform large data sets with attention to quality and performance.
• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries.
• Build efficient data pipelines in collaboration with technical and business teams.
• Work with Google Cloud Platform services to manage and process data.
• Strong SQL skills (advanced level).
• Familiarity with GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, etc.).
• +1 years of experience (including internships) in a data-related role.
• Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Requirements

• Academic or professional experience with Python is a plus.
• Experience with BI tools (e.g. Looker, Data Studio, Power BI) is a plus.
• Understanding of data engineering practices (ETL/ELT, data pipelines).
