Chief Cloud Architect - Remote

Overview

Dev Technology Group is looking for a Cloud Architect to support both Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and new development efforts for a federal government client. The ideal candidate will have relevant Cloud architecture experience, strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex work activities in a deadline-driven environment.

• Overall responsibility over the engineering task and the creation and management of cloud environments.
• Providing and executing strategies for DevSecOps pipeline adoption, development, and implementation.
• Providing solutions to enhance performance monitoring.
• Implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for configuration management items in the cloud.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Agile development experience.
• Ability to problem-solve and develop solutions to complex business needs.
• Designing and implementing Cloud-based AWS solutions.
• Optimizing system performance and resource utilization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment OR No Bachelor’s Degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience.
• Excellent active listening skills.
• Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officials.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional preferred.
• Experience with microservices/container architectures (e.g. Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools.
• Database management and administration (Mongo DB and Oracle).
