In Short

• We’re looking for a talented and results-oriented Cloud Architect to work remotely as a key member of Sureify’s engineering team.
• You’ll help build and evolve our next-generation cloud-based compute platform for digitally-delivered life insurance.
• You’ll be a key voice in deciding what technologies and practices we use to operate our software.
• You’ll collaborate closely with the product development team on platform feature architecture.
• Drive decisions such as whether to use a SaaS or self-host various components of our architecture.
• Develop run books for emergency situations and execute tests of those run books.
• Design and automate load tests.
• Track and improve MTBF and MTTR.
• Share your keen knowledge with less experienced members of our operations team.

Requirements

• Strong background in software engineering.
• Passion for infrastructure and experience with cloud deployment design and architecture.
• Experienced with automation tools and operations methodology.
• Strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a close-knit team.
• Strong focus on code quality, repeatable processes, automation, and infrastructure defined in code.
• Experience building secure applications and methodically improving application performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience.
