Overview

The Black Student Engagement Intern serves a vital role in fostering a supportive community for our high school and college scholars, particularly focusing on students of color who identify as Black and/or multi-ethnic.

In Short

• Provide near-peer mentorship and support to students.
• Lead supportive communities for scholars receiving scholarships.
• Aid in campus workshops, events, and office hours.
• Participate in professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate on regional social media contributions.
• Support at fundraising and media events.
• Other duties as assigned.
• This hybrid position requires frequent in-person presence.

Requirements

• Current college student with at least 1 year of coursework.
• Willingness to learn and be self-reflective.
• Punctual, attentive, and engaging.
• Advanced interpersonal skills for diverse populations.
• Ability to take initiative in team and individual settings.
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills.
