Payroll Expert - Remote

Overview

The Payroll Expert serves as a regional subject matter expert, owning end-to-end payroll execution for specific countries or regions. This role requires deep technical expertise in local payroll regulations, systems implementation, and vendor management.

In Short

• Evaluate and select relevant software for running payroll.
• Ensure accurate and timely execution of payroll in your region.
• Prepare and reconcile internal payroll reports.
• Own all critical local payroll and HR processes.
• Schedule payroll expenses collections and reconcile collections.
• Assess and improve rapid growth processes.
• Stay informed of relevant local regulatory changes.
• Work cross-functionally to provide expertise on payroll matters.
• Answer complex payroll and HR related questions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3+ years of payroll and HR experience with experience in Slovenia.
• Strong working knowledge of local regulations related to payroll.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written skills to connect with clients.
• Advanced knowledge of local payroll software solutions.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• Experience managing technology and external payroll providers is an advantage.
• Experience with implementation of new payrolls on recognized payroll solutions is preferred.
