Intern, Deel Lab - Remote

Overview

The Deel Lab is seeking an intern to assist in research and policy analysis related to global employment laws and compliance technology.

In Short

• Work with the research team at Queen’s University for 4-5 weeks.
• Assist in developing legal compliance technology.
• Draft reports on legal doctrines and conduct case law annotation.
• Consult on key legal questions in dispute resolution.
• Use modern research methods in legal and policy research.
• Focus on worker classification and legal status of contractors.
• Explore collective bargaining rights and global pension systems.
• Investigate social security and healthcare benefits for contractors.
• Research legal remote-work issues and the value of remote work.
• Collaborate with Deel Lab experts as needed.

Requirements

• Completed or currently enrolled in law school.
• Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong understanding of the Vietnamese legal system.
• Experience with legal and policy research.
• Proactive, autonomous, resilient, and adaptable.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Outstanding writing skills in English and Vietnamese.
• Knowledge of labor law is appreciated.
