Senior Software Engineer - Language Tools - Remote

Overview

The Language Tools team enables hundreds of Datadog backend engineers to build, test, and package secure, quality code. Our success is measured by their productivity and happiness.

In Short

• Invent simpler, faster, more reliable, and more efficient build, test, and packaging tools.
• Treat CI like SREs treat prod, making sure our pipelines are green and fast.
• Prepare, run, and finish complex migrations.
• Promote coding best practices company-wide: linting, formatting, type checking, etc.
• Engage with the open source community as needed.

Requirements

• An expert in one or more of the languages or build systems listed above.
• A well-rounded engineer with a broad understanding of various software projects.
• Both careful and fearless in making impactful changes.
• User-focused, helping Datadog engineers improve usability.
• Ideally, experience working with a large codebase.
