Overview

The Product Detection Engineering team at Datadog develops impactful security detection content for Datadog’s portfolio of security products. As part of the Security Research organization, you will join a diverse team of hackers and builders who launch impactful security products and research via cross-company collaboration, partnerships with the security community and open source initiatives.

In Short

• Learn everything about detecting threats and vulnerabilities in cloud-native environments.
• Research and operationalize telemetry from data platforms into Cloud SIEM and CSM Threats products.
• Partner with product management, engineering, security research, and customers.
• Drive efficiencies in content development processes through innovative tooling and automation.
• Evangelize the Datadog security brand through various channels.

Requirements

• Background in detection engineering or cloud security engineering.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and cloud native technologies.
• Understanding of modern cloud native attacker techniques.
• Proficient in Windows and Linux internals.
• Experience detecting threats at scale using modern detection engineering approaches.
• Basic proficiency with Python, Golang, or other programming languages.
• Experience measuring the effectiveness of security controls.
