Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead the global site reliability engineering (SRE) squad at Customer.io, ensuring reliability across all products while driving best practices in production readiness and incident management.

In Short

  • Lead effective squad rituals and ensure production readiness.
  • Ensure scalable, architecturally sound, flexible, and secure solutions.
  • Create accountability for delivery timelines in a collaborative environment.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
  • Manage hiring and performance to meet business objectives.
  • Understand Customer.io’s vision and products to drive meaningful investigations.
  • Build partnerships with Engineering Manager and development squad leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in North/South American time zones.
  • 3+ years as an Engineering Manager for SRE teams in a SaaS environment.
  • 3+ years as an SRE, designing and implementing reliable infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architecture and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ability to understand technical architecture and provide feedback.
  • Experience in building and nurturing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
