Overview

The Mobile Building Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operations and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a facility, often working independently or supervising maintenance staff.

In Short

  • Conduct daily operations and maintenance of building systems.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and assign tasks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance duties on various systems.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors for maintenance efforts.
  • Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes and safety practices.
  • Maintain inventory control and stock management.
  • Compile and submit monthly operational reports.
  • Work in varying weather conditions and environments.
  • May require on-call duties and extended hours.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Licenses for relevant trades (e.g., Electrician License).
  • Universal certification for refrigerants (EPA Section 608).
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and energy management.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
  • Experience in commercial property maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
