Senior Associate, Business and Technology Analytics - Remote

Overview

This role is an addition to Crosslake’s team of practitioners serving our clients with their investments and acquisitions. The objective of this role is to enhance our analytical capabilities and enrich our deliverables with quantified evidence of financial and operating performance. This role is intended to become an integral part of our teams working client engagements and interact extensively with various Crosslake teams and clients.

In Short

• Business and Financial Analytics: Analysis of P&L and other financial statements to evaluate companies' spending on R&D, hosting, labor, revenue composition and trends, and margin trends.
• Organizational Analytics: Analyze org structure and census to profile the organization by roles, geo footprint, compensation, tenure, attrition.
• Operational analytics: Analyze key performance indicators and metrics related to key processes for a software/tech company.
• Perform relevant benchmarking for categories above.
• Participate in sessions with clients to request necessary data and conduct interviews.
• Develop presentations depicting the analysis results.
• Collaborate with other team members to integrate the analysis into overall deliverables.

Requirements

• Expert level Excel capabilities.
• Strong Analytical mindset.
• Ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Comfortable presenting data and insights in a clear, structured way for different audiences.
• Ability to build PowerPoint charts/stories for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of software industry and financials and operations of a software company.
• Understanding of Mergers & Acquisitions process (Preferred but not required).
• A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with software/tech company (finance, operations or R&D functions) or consulting firm.
