Overview

The RN in this role provides professional nursing care in a fast-paced medical-surgical unit, focusing on patient-family centered care and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

In Short

  • Work in a 34-bed unit caring for diverse medical and surgical patients.
  • Develop clinical assessment and problem-solving skills.
  • Participate in unit decisions through a Shared Governance Model.
  • Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Document patient education and care in health records.
  • Work under the direction of the Nurse Leader.
  • Must have MI Registered Nurse license within 60 days of hire.
  • Part-time position with night shifts, 24 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Associates or Diploma in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's in Nursing required within 5 years for new graduates.
  • Must pass NCLEX licensure examination.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • 1 year of acute care experience for non-accredited nursing graduates.
  • Ability to work variable days and every third weekend.
  • Commitment to a drug-free workplace.
  • Willingness to comply with vaccination requirements.
