Overview

The CT Technologist PRN provides healthcare services by applying cross-sectional computed tomography imaging and performing related duties to assist in diagnosis or treatment. The role involves producing images for interpretation by licensed practitioners and ensuring comprehensive patient care.

In Short

  • Perform CT procedures and produce diagnostic images.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as per protocol.
  • Verify patients’ clinical history and ensure proper documentation.
  • Position patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and manage PACS.
  • Schedule patients for procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Act as a mentor to less experienced staff.
  • Work under minimal supervision, following established protocols.
  • Participate in employee development and training.
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in CT imaging.
  • CRT-Radiographer and CRT-Computed Tomography certifications required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Ability to work variable shifts and weekends.
  • Strong communication skills and patient care focus.
  • Ability to manage complex patient needs.
