Drafter (AU Construction, WFH) - Remote

Overview

The Junior Draftsperson will work closely with the architectural team to produce accurate and detailed drawings, plans, and documentation for various projects. This entry-level role is ideal for a technically minded individual with a passion for design and architecture who wants to grow their drafting skills in a supportive and professional environment.

In Short

• Assist in the creation of technical drawings, plans, and models based on initial concepts, sketches, and specifications.
• Work with architects and senior draftspeople to support the design and documentation process for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
• Ensure all drawings and plans comply with relevant building codes, standards, and industry regulations.
• Amend drawings and documents based on feedback from architects and clients to meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with internal team members and consultants to ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in the drafting process.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Certificate in Drafting, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience: Up to 1 year of drafting experience in an architectural or construction setting.
• Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of CAD software, including AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. Experience with Adobe Suite or SketchUp is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong ability to produce precise and accurate drawings.
• Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and other stakeholders.
• Team-Oriented: Willingness to take direction and contribute to a team environment.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues in drawings and suggest improvements or modifications.
