Bookkeeper (AU Construction, WFH) - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a skilled accounting professional to manage daily bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and financial reporting using Xero accounting software.

In Short

• Daily Xero bank account reconciliations
• Monthly claim creation in Xero
• Creation of Accounts Payable
• Checking draft invoices from Procore/Lentune
• Managing employee entries in Xero payroll
• Driving payroll processing
• Ensuring compliance with superannuation and payroll tax
• Performing ad-hoc duties as required
• Experience in construction or contracting industries is preferred
• Open to training candidates with no prior experience in specific tools

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with Xero accounting software
• Knowledge of Australian Payroll is advantageous
• Previous experience in bookkeeping or finance roles
• Familiarity with invoice checking and financial reporting
• Strong proficiency in Excel
• Ability to create ABA files for payment runs
• Experience with Procore or similar software is a plus
• Knowledge of GST rates and tax-related tasks
• Competency in generating financial reports
