Accountant for Australian Taxation - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to work with an Australian accounting firm, specializing in Australian taxation and financial services.

In Short

• Work directly with an Australian senior accountant in a 100% Xero firm.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for various entities.
• Preparation of workpapers and reconciliations.
• Assist in the reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts.
• Posting and processing journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as required.
• Assist with setup and configuration of Xero for clients.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field.
• CPA license will be highly advantageous.
• XERO knowledge essential.
• Proven experience as an Accountant in a BPO company handling Australian Taxation for a minimum of 3+ years.
• Knowledge of Australian Tax.
• Well-versed in accounting principles.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Efficiency in using MS Excel.
• Ability to manage your own workflow and deadlines.
• Good communication skills - verbal and written.
